Senior Move Management and Age in Place services Moving a home requires physical and mental demands that seniors and their families may not be willing or able to do themselves. Our background in social services and psychology make us uniquely qualified to handle the broad range of demands senior moves sometimes call for. We are familiar with all of the local senior retirement communities, their staffs and their floor plans. We are Circle of Service and Certified members of the National Association of Senior Move Managers. Since 2007, we’ve coordinated more than 1000 moves. Most are within the Collier and Lee County area but several involved out of state or even, out of country transitions. We’ve worked nationally in cooperation with other NASMM members coordinating with families who move to OR from outside of SW Florida. The cost of a move is affected by many variables. Good Moves, Inc. will develop a plan and review any changes with you during the process. We can provide referrals and schedule any additional services you may need: pet sitting during the move, painters, handyman services, Realtors, golf car sale…. whatever you need to make this transition go smoothly. Your movers’ cost is separate from Good Moves. Prior to the movers’ arrival, many families help out tremendously. Some families intend to help out, but lose steam as they try to prepare for the move. Closing dates, buyers changing their minds, owners having difficulty letting go: all have an impact on the time it will take to finish a job. This is why we charge by the hour. We provide our best educated guesstimate prior to the move, but the more your family does, the less we do, and the lower the cost.
